FSA ID
All students and parents will need to have their own Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID code to use the FAFSA online system. This FSA ID will serve as your legal signature. Students and parents must have their own separate ID's and are required to use separate email addresses in order to establish and maintain their FSA ID's. (Remember, students should NOT use their school email addresses for this or any college related applications.) The process of establishing an FSA ID can take about 10 minutes and so students and parents are encouraged to do this prior to completing the FAFSA.
Students and parents are strongly encouraged to write down and save your username and password from the FSA ID system as well as identifying security questions that will be clear over time as you will need the FSA ID each year of college that you submit a FAFSA.
