  • If you feel anxious during the exam, take a minute to calm yourself down.  Stretch your arms and legs and then relax them again.  Do this a couple of times.  Take a few slow deep breaths.  Do some positive internal self talk, repeating to yourself silently, "I will be ok.  I can do this."
  • Before the exam, avoid negative people who might increase your anxiety, make you panic or who will decrease your level of confidence.
  • If waiting for the test to begin causes anxiety, distract yourself by reading a magazine
  • If the exam is more difficult than you anticipated, try to focus and just do your best.
  • Understand the weight of your exam grade and it's possible influence on your semester grade
