Demonstrated Interest

College PennantsThe college selection and admission process has been altered by websites such as Common App which allow students to apply to more colleges with the same application and with fee waivers which have made it less expensive for some students to apply to many institutions.  While the colleges and universities have fostered these developments, it has made it harder for them to determine which applicants are truly interested.  Many colleges will keep track of the number of interactions students have with admissions representatives during the search and application process so they can gauge a student's level of interest in their college.  With this in mind, it is important to take advantage of the official college admissions tours and information sessions, to meet with college representatives when they visit WKHS or central Ohio, and to sign in or complete the information cards when attending college fairs.
